Fairs and Festivals

Fairs and festivals are a great way to provide interaction between stormwater professionals and the general public.  Displays featuring educational information including posters, banners, brochures, and giveaways are effective methods of communicating techniques citizens can use to reduce their impact on our streams.  Display stations are also a great option for gathering data.  Stormwater SMART make available brief surveys during festival events.  This provides Stormwater SMART and its member governments with basedata estimating how knowledgeable our communities are and what direction we need to take our outreach efforts.  If you have a festival coming up in your community, please contact Stormwater SMART and let us know when and where.
